John Goodman talked about trying to seize the last opportunity he has to become the playmaker many felt he had the talent to become coming out of high school in a video posted by the official athletic department on YouTube.

It was a bit of a surprise to some that Goodman was back for a 5th year since he hasn’t been able to crack the wide receiver rotation for Notre Dame since Brian Kelly and the spread offense came to town, but with the lack of experience at receiver this year, it would do Notre Dame very well if Goodman can put it all together in his last year of eligibility.

With Michael Floyd gone and Theo Riddick headed back to running back, Goodman has a golden opportunity to earn a starting position if he can show some consistency and turn the talent that earned him four stars from recruiting services into production.
