Here’s what the final coahcing staff for the 2009 appears to be in light of Charlie Weis’s Friday presser and the news that Randy Hart will be the new defensive line coach.

  • Charlie Weis – Head Coach
  • Corwin Brown – Associate Head Coach/Co-Defensive Coordinator and Defensive Backs Coach
  • Rob Ianello – Assistant Head Coach for Offense/Recruiting Coordinator and Wide Receivers Coach
  • Jon Tenuta – Assistant Head Coach for Defense/Defensive Coordinator and Linebackers Coach
  • Brian Polian – Special Teams Coordinator
  • Tony Alford – Running Backs Coach
  • Bernie Parmalee – Tight Ends Coach
  • Ron Powlus – Quarterbacks Coach
  • Frank Verducci – Running Game Coordinator/Offensive Line Coach
  • Randy Hart – Defensive Line (note: this hasn’t been officially announced by the University)
  • Brian White – Offensive Graduate Assistant
  • Bryant Young – Defensive Graduate Assistant
  • Kinnon Tatum – Defensive Intern

Looks like Weis was passing out new titles like Skittles this off-season.  In all seriousness though, the final result of the coaching staff changes appears to be a much stronger staff heading into 2009.

Weis: Im more of an offensive coordinator than head coach. Corwin Brown is a better head coach than I am. He fires the players up better than I do.

Kudos, and Corwin should get Charlie’s Salary too.
