Notre Dame – Texas Set for Primetime Kickoff

For Notre Dame fans aching for some Fighting Irish football come September 5th, they will have to wait just a bit longer for their fix with Notre Dame announcing that the start time for the 2015 season opener will be 7:30 PM ET. Notre Dame returned to practice on Wednesday after a week long break for the 10th practice of Spring football 2015.  The Irish were forced indoors as they head head into the final stretch of spring ball.  In today’s practice video from the folks at WatchND, the quarterbacks, receivers, and special teams were the focus. The Class of 2016 is barely underway and Notre Dame has already secured its first commitment for the class of 2017 after offensive lineman Dillan Gibbons committed to the Irish over the weekend. Gibbons, a native of St. Petersburg, Florida, might only be just a sophomore but he had already picked up offers from Ohio State, Cincinnati, Michigan State, South Carolina, Louisville, and Wet Virginia among a few others as well.  The Max Prep’s Sophomore All-American plays at Northside Christian where he is coached by former NFL and Purdue standout Mike Alstott. Jerian Grant’s Top 5 Plays of the 2014-15 Season

Notre Dame senior PG Jerian Grant finished his spectacular senior campaign leading the Irish to their first ever conference championship and a strong run in the NCAA Tournament. Tony Jones Junior Season Highlights

Notre Dame added it’s 4th commitment for the class of 2016 and its first at running back on Sunday when Florida native Tony Jones committed to the Irish following his junior day visit. Here’s some video of Autry Denson’s first running back commitment since being named the running backs coach for the Irish showing great burst and balance. Jones is a bigger back who can run between the tackles who like Denson himself might not possess top end, breakaway speed but can big plays because of his vision and ability to break tackles.
