Notre Dame kept their record in ACC play unblemished on Thursday night in Miami with a 67-62 win over the Hurricanes.  The Irish overcame a sluggish start to the first half to pick up their fourth win in as many tries in ACC play.  Steve Vasturia built on his reputation of being clutch yet again by driving through the lane and sinking a layup with 8 seconds left to put the Irish up by three. Notre Dame Basketball Report: Irish Start ACC Play with a Bang!

© Charles LeClaire-USA TODAY Sports

The arrival of 2017 coincides with another rise in the polls for the Notre Dame men’s basketball. That’s courtesy of a overtime road victory at ACC rival Pittsburgh on New Year’s Eve that gave them a 12-2 season mark. That win followed the other less-memorable victory over Saint Peter’s that was likely due to the team looking ahead to their conference opener against the Panthers. Right now, it appears the coaches have a little more confidence than the contingent making up the AP poll. Last week, they both placed the Irish in the 24th spot for the Top 25; this ...

A thin schedule leading up to Christmas had the Notre Dame Fighting Irish only taking the court once last week. Notre Dame Basketball Week in Review The victory also stopped a two-game losing skid that came against a pair of Top 25 opponents. Notre Dame’s Matt Farrell Surprised by Army Lt. Brother

At the end of Notre Dame’s 77-62 victory over Colgate Monday night, Notre Dame guard Matt Farrell got an early Christmas present and it’s probably the best thing you will see all day.  Farrell’s older brother Bo had a recorded message play over the video from from his post in Afghanistan.  Except Bo was at Joyce Arena to surprise his brother. Mission accomplished for Bo Farrell.  His little brother who had just scored 13 points  and dished out 7 assists in Notre Dame’s 10th win over the season was completely surprised and his reaction was fun to watch.  His teammates reaction ...

Notre Dame Basketball Week in Review Only one game was on the Notre Dame schedule last week, though it was another battle against a Top 25 squad. The Irish came up on the wrong end of an 86-81 score ...
