A government report stated that the average education level of a person in the military was higher than the ave age education level of a non-military worker in the USA.

Near the the same time another report was referred to that disputed Al Sharpton's charge that nobody cared about troops being killed because they were disproportionately minorities. I believe that it was a Pentagon report that countered his claim by stating that the Caucasian to minority ratio in the military was higher than the same comparison in the general population.
