I got carried away with the other witness story.

I don't know how the law is applied in Florida in situation. In our state, Zimmerman still is wrong based on the fact that he escalated a nonviolent situation into a violent siuation by confronting him.

In our state if I catch a guy in my driveway trying steal my car. If I confront him and he turns on me and I kill him. I go down because I escalated a nonviolent theft into a violent act by confronting him in lieu of calling the police. In texas, you can shoot the guy stealing the car in your driveway.

In our state you can stand your ground, but you cannot initiate the confrontation.
