overall, given how he played over his whole ND career, however, I would have wanted Gody playing as much as possible. I don't know if I would say one worked harder than the other, but, again, the improvement in Cooley is really outstanding. Perhaps better than Gody's progress from frosh to senior.
I think the most important point is that this time lost it's best three players from last year and they are still playing lights out. That's a huge testimony to Brey's development as a coach. Kelly's been put on notice, and, as far as I'm concerned, the lack of QB experience holds less weight with me than it once did to explain our football woes the last two years. Sorry, I know that belongs on the other board, but I'm looking forward to Kelly truly bringing forth the "next man in" philosophy (finally, we can only hope) next year like Brey has done with the bball team this year.
