Are you crazy? I like your enthusiasm, but I don't see how, with Lynch, or even two Lynch's, this team is ready to compete for a BCS game. The front seven would be BCS quality, but last time I checked this was a team game.
Here is why:
The secondary is a mess, and most QB's will torch it.
The offense is even a bigger mess: No leader, or BCS quality QB that's able to run this offense at speed, yet. I do agree Golson gives us our best chance to win today, all though, just short term.
No WR's that even remotely can help out our lack of any BCS quality QB.
This is going to be a run first offense, this year, thus making it easy on defenses to stack the box, and double Eifert on almost every down.
Turnovers, and Penalties on offense are again going to be a problem, thus making it very hard for this team to outscore anyone, even if our D can keep em close.
Special teams? Again, I don't see this making us a contender.
Schedule: Have you even looked at this?
I'd love to have Aaron back as well, but him alone making us BCS caliber?
bob drake: what were you thinking? I'm curious as to how you see it.
