CW wanted HS on the field somewhere and forced him to play OLB. He was too small and had never played it before and he was never coached-up by CW's staff. For the first two years, he bounced around from position to position and never learned any of them.

Smith is ND's all-time leading tackler, he was the team captain for two years, the Vikings traded up to get him, Smith was ranked as the second best safety in the country, he was one of the few ND players in the Senior Bowl, he is the only ND player to place 1st and 2nd in the combine drills.

I'm not a Tennessee Vol fans but I have never read and badmouthing or bitching from a TN fan about one of their players being drafted by the NFL. They take pride in their players and always wish them well. ND fans, including yourself, should take note and quit all this badmouthing of a ND player that gave his all to the university. Why can't you say something positive about Harrison Smith? IMO, it shows a lack of character and an indicator of a fair weather fan. What other ND players don't you like?
