ended up soft and lacked toughness (in my opinion). You need a team and not just a bunch of entitled primadonnas.
I do not agree with your assessment that ND cannot be a BCS caliber team by continuing their approach.
I believe Brian Kelly is building a team the right way and that given a reasonable amount of time (no, I don't think 2 years is reasonable) his teams will play at a very high level consistently.
I believe last years team was a BCS caliber team, but poor quarterback play lead to the results we saw. I cannot fault Brian Kelly for who he inherited at quarterback. He has had very good quarterbacks every place he coached, so I don't think he has forgotten how to do it.
