What really hurts about losing Collinsworth

I think, is the intensity and drive he brings to the team. I agree with what twostep said below, there is a lot of talent back there, and in sheer athletic terms we may be okay. But I felt like Collinsworth always played with a lot of desire, like an old school ND guy who doesn't care where he plays as much as whether or not the team wins. Remember the opening kick return against Miami in the Sun Bowl? He caught it deep, and surprised all the 'Canes with a dash out to mid-field. He came off really hyped, and the whole team caught that. Miami didn't catch up with our intensity till the fourth quarter, and then it was too late. He set the tone on a lot of plays on special teams in other games as well. I hope he heals up fine, takes a med redshirt, and gives the Irish two more years after that of his guts and heart.
