The NCAA takes an interest in it because it involves the image of the NCAA. When a prominent member school conceals and enables a pedophile who was on its athletic staff, it involves the image of the NCAA.
The more you try to convince me that the NCAA should do little or nothing about this, the more I'm coming over to the side that it should.
I have no idea what "private behavior" means within this context. It sounds patently ridiculous and stupid, but I'll allow you the opportunity to clarify.
