All things considered, I think it is a significant development that Nate Montana is going to attend ND and compete for a spot on the roster as a walk-on. It speaks volumes about the direction of the program and Charlie Weis that Joe Montana, as the greatest quarterback next to Johnny Unitas in the history of NFL to this point and a parent, has endorsed his son's choice.
