Notre Dame to Win 9 Games in 2008?
Author: Frankie V | Filed Under Notre Dame Football
Robert Smith of ESPN said yesterday he would not be surprised to see the Irish win 9 games this year, but predicted an 8-4 season with losses to Michigan, Michigan State, Pitt, and USC. I think his prediction is pretty fair. We’ll have trouble with the Michigans and Pitt and we’re probably not ready to seriously compete with USC just yet this year. Surprisingly, Smith doesn’t seem to think ND will have much trouble with Washington even though Huskie fans seem to think its a sure win for them - some on the UHND forums seem to think that the Irish will struggle with mighty Washington as well.

FROM THE SOUND OF WASHINGTON’S ALUMS, IT WILL BE INTERESTING TO SEE IF TYRONE WILL BE WONDERING THE SIDE LINES BY THE TIME WE SHOW UP.
SURE 9 WINS IS POSSIBLE, AS LONG AS THE BALL BOUNCES OUR WAY FOR A CHANGE.

No WAY we lose to Michigan this year. NO WAY! Ohh and we are going to beat Washington no worries. 8-4 does sound about right.

I’m going to be at that Washington game so they better win. I also think 8-4 would be a pretty nice season. Man, I can’t wait for the season to start,

I don’t see how we lose to Michigan. Washington? Wow I mean I guess I should check out what their fans have to say need a laugh. The only teams I think that give us trouble are Michigan State, Purdue, and USC. I say 10-2. I think we are back to where we were in ‘05 and ‘06.
