Notre Dame had a special visitor at practice today - defensive end recruit Chance Carter. Carter, who has said he’d like to make his college decision soon has the Irish as one of his finalists along with Nebraska, Wisconsin, and Stanford.
Irish Insights’ Mike Rothstein reported that Carter got some attention from Rob Ianello, Randy Hart, Bryant Young, and Ruben Mendoza when we arrived at practice.
With Reggie Wilson commiting to Texas last month, Carter likely moves up Notre Dame’s recruiting board because of their need at defensive end in this class. Another local defensive end prospect, Blake Lueders, recently took in practice and is also looking to make his decision early. It would be nice if one of them commits to Notre Dame on or before the Blue Gold game to keep some of the recruiting momentum going.
