Here’s an interview of Deion Walker courtesy of Rivals/Yahoo from the weekend. There’s some pretty standard questions, but the one thing that stood out to me was how he handled questions about classmate Michael Floyd. When asked if it was tough to not play last season while fellow freshman Michael Floyd playedas effectively and extensively as he did, Walker basically said that Floyd deserved to be playing ahead of him and seemed genuinely impressed by his teammate. Considering the egos involved with the wide receiver position, it’s refreshing to see a wide receiver with an attitude like Walker’s.

Kudos Frankie, Deion is a class act and I hope we get to see him on the field soon.

Very mature for his age. I remember that (aside from Hunter) he was the only recruit from last year’s class to publicly waver. The night before signing day, he was taking a closer look at Penn State and Tenn. I do wonder if he looks at transferring if he doesn’t get the third spot. I hope not. The scouting services were all high on him.

This kid is articulate and a great representative for the University. I sure hope they are investing in him because he is invested in the program. Barring any physical issues he will play. Some day he will coach. He’s going to become a leader.
