Charlie Weis reiterated on Tuesday that junior h-back/tight end Luke Schmidt is out indefinitely as he deals with chronic head ache problems.

“And then Luke Schmidt is still out indefinitely. That’s still the case,” Weis said on Tuesday.

This shouldn’t come as much of a surprise. At this point, it would be more of a surprise if Weis were to announce that Schmidt was coming back.  Head injuries are not taken lightly these days.  The timing of Schmidt’s injury is rather unfortunate for him because he would have a had a real opportunity for playing time with the suspension of Will Yeatman for the remainder of the season.
