Illinois defensive end recruit Chance Carter has narrowed his schools down to Notre Dame, Stanford, Wisconsin, and Nebraksa according to Bill Kuerlic of ESPN.com.

Carter currently has offers from Notre Dame, Wisconsin, Stanford, Nebraska and Indiana.

“I’m looking at all of them except Indiana,” Carter said. “I’m just looking at four schools.”

Carter is another recruit who is looking to make an early decision and could commit somewhere as early as May according to the same report.

Another local defensive end recruit to keep an eye on is Zionsville, IN native Blake Lueders.  Lueders visited Notre Dame unofficially last weekend and is another recruit who could make an early decision.

like most kids, he falls in love with every school after he visits, but i like that he always seems to come back to us a week or so later. bein in california im liking our chances with alot of kids out here. a few kids to keep in mind from CA would be Anthony Barr, Sean Parker, Tony Jefferson, Dietrich Riley, Lucky Radley, Pete Thomas, and of course that Montana kid. all of which are really high on ND.

For what it’s worth, the “zv” in “zvirish” stands for zionsville. I lived there 5 yrs, and moved away 2 yrs ago. I was already reading about Blake Leuders’ contributions on the field, as a freshman. And they’ve been playing championship caliber ball at the 4A level, so he’s playing some tough teams.
