Loading ...Here is a new highlight reel of defensive end commitment Chris Martin. This video really displays Martin’s versatility and athleticism. On top of showing his skills as a pass rusher, this clip has extensive clips of Martin playing against the run as well as examples of him on the offensive side of the ball. What really struck me as well was how “small” Martin looks in this video. I say “small” because you can really see how much room he has to grow in this video.
Seeing Martin catching the ball in the open field from a tight end position and running with the ball out of the backfield really gives you an idea of just how athletic he really is. I can’t remember Notre Dame recruiting a defensive end with they type of pure athleticism that Martin possesses since we’ve been covering recruiting on UHND.com back in 1997. Still a very long time until Martin reaches Notre Dame, but it’s hard not to get excited about his potential for the Irish after watching a video like this.

Can’t wait to see this guy in an Irish uniform. He could get some serious time as a freshman. Was it him that was debating on enrolling early?
