Oh, the Midshipmen will be joining the Big East for the 2015 season.
After a long, drawn-out process that included all kinds of denials on both sides, the Mids and the Big East finally got together and Navy will join in football only.
It seemed like a fit right from the beginning.
"We have to upgrade our recruiting, upgrade our facilities, upgrade everything about our program without compromising ourselves as an institution," coach Ken Niumatalolo said of the move. "Are we biting off more than we can chew? I don't know, but we're excited about what the Big East has to offer."
The first thing the Big East had to offer Navy was a conference and a chance to play for a BCS spot.
