Purdue hires Burns as defensive backs coach (AP)
Purdue has hired Greg Burns as defensive backs coach. Burns replaces Lou Anarumo, who recently took a job with the Miami Dolphins. Purdue made the announcement on Friday. Burns spent the previous four seasons as the cornerbacks coach at Arizona State. The Sun Devils led the then-Pac-10 and finished among the nation's top units in rushing, passing and total defense in 2009.
