Tulsa stumbles at UTEP
Two streaks ended on Wednesday night in El Paso. Tulsa's seven-game winning streak was snapped by UTEP, 64-55, which in turn broke the Miners four-game skid. The loss dropped the Golden Hurricane to third place in the C-USA standings.

Tulsa has the longest winning streak in Conference USA, having run off seven victories in a row since losing its first two conference games. The Hurricane looks to continue its magic against UTEP tonight.

News leaked on InsideTulsaSports.com last week that former Oklahoma defensive end Calvin Thibodeaux would be hired as the new defensive tackles coach at Tulsa, and on Monday, TU made it official.

Tulsa wins seventh straight
Jordan Clarkson scored 21 points and Tulsa won its seventh straight game Saturday night, defeating Marshall 79-70. Steven Idlet was 10 for 10 from the free-throw line and finished with 16 points for the Golden Hurricane.

Even the most optimistic Tulsa fan could not have seen a six-game winning streak coming after TU dropped to 7-9 in early January. But now the Hurricane is just one game out of first place in C-USA.
Spring practice in sight
The Tulsa Golden Hurricane, which is coming off an 8-5 campaign, will return 13 starters and begin spring drills on March 6. They will hold 15 practices, ending with the spring game on April 7.
