Notre Dame Basketball Tops Colgate 77-62 (Highlights)

Notre Dame got back in the win column Monday night at home against Colgate.  The Irish topped the Raids by 15 but again couldn’t maintain a large first half lead.  In back to back losses the last week and a half the Irish have jumped out to first half leads they were unable to hang on to.  Monday night the Irish were able to hang it, but it never felt easy. Notre Dame jumped out to 36-20 first half lead, but were outscored 42-41 by Colgate over the final 20 minutes of the game.  It didn’t matter for the result ...

Notre Dame Basketball Falls Late to #1 Ranked Villanova (Highlights)

© Vincent Carchietta-USA TODAY Sports

Notre Dame jumped out to an early 11 point first half lead over top ranked, defending national champion Villanova Saturday afternoon.  The Irish, however, were unable to hold on to their lead in the second half before finally falling to the #1 team in the country 74-66. The Irish lead throughout much of the game but fell behind in the final 10 minutes and were unable to battle back.  Jason Hart and the Wildcats proved to be just too much as Hart almost single handily doomed with the Irish with 37 points.  No other Villanova player reach double figures. A ...

We’re All Battling to Be the 2nd Biggest Notre Dame Fan

Sorry everybody, but we’re now all officially battling to be the second biggest Notre Dame fans around.  Keith Penrod has officially cemented his place as the biggest Notre Dame fan.  It’s been a really rough year for Notre Dame football, but videos like the one above are a reminder of just why we’re all Notre Dame fans.  We can all complain about wins and losses all we want, but at the end of the day, there’s a whole hell of a lot more that matters than Notre Dame’s number of wins and losses at the end of the season. Hats ...

ESPN 30 for 30 : Catholics v. Convicts Trailer

Photo provided by Notre Dame Media Relations

ESPN is currently putting the finishing touches on an upcoming 30 for 30 on the epic 1988 Notre Dame – Miami clash known better as the Catholics vs. Convicts and released the trailer today. (Mobile Users: Direct link to the video here) The trailer looks positively fantastic.  Everything in the 30 for 30 series is though so that shouldn’t be a surprise.  I don’t necessarily like how much the trailer focuses on the controversial fumble, but then again that’s smart marketing on their part to get people fired up. Miami will be coming to South Bend later this month for ...

Notre Dame finally got back in the win column on Saturday with a 50-33 win over Syracuse at Met Life Stadium in East Rutherford, New Jersey.  Notre Dame came in reeling following back to back losses and the dismissal of their defensive coordinator but the Irish steadied the ship – at least for a week – with an offensive explosion and some steady improvement on defense. Watch: Dexter Williams’s Tecmo Bowlesque TD Run

Notre Dame - Michigan State Betting Line

Brian Kelly singled out Dexter Williams as the only Notre Dame player to play with fire and passion last week.  This week Williams played a much larger role in the Irish offense than he had previously and he responded with a highlight reel worthy 59 yard touchdown run in the second half. Mobile Users: View the clip here.  Williams looked contained after he ran right but reversed his field and ran through the Syracuse defense and raced to the end-zone.  On the game Williams totaled 8 carries for 80 yards and scored for the second week in a row and ...

Notre Dame Football’s All-Time ACC Performance

Notre Dame plays Duke this week in the first of five matchups with ACC teams this season. Notre Dame has remained independent in football, but plays basketball in the ACC, leading to an agreement to play a handful of ACC football teams every year. Brian Kelly Loves the ‘Boring’ 2016 Notre Dame Class

Brian Kelly Contract Extension

Notre Dame didn’t have much drama on National Signing Day 2016 in terms of late minute defections or decommitments.  No Chris Little, Greg Little, Lorenzo Booker, or Deontay Greenbery situations like Greg talked about in his post over the weekend.  At the same time, Notre Dame didn’t land the 5-star fish they were hoping to reel in either.  Still, a Signing Day devoid of being Bookered or Leaked was a nice change. Notre Dame head coach Brian Kelly opens up about the lack of drama behind Notre Dame’s recruiting process this year in this video from Sports Illustrated.

Notre Dame – Stanford ’15 Highlights

Notre Dame and Stanford played one of the most entertaining games of the 2015 college football season last night – yet another game for the ages between the two programs.  Unfortunately for the Irish, they came up on the wrong side of this year’s thriller with Stanford kicking the game winning field goal as time expired after the Irish took the lead with just 0:30 left in the game. We’ll have plenty on Notre Dame’s second two-point loss of the season, but as always, until then, here are the highlights from WatchND.

Notre Dame – Boston College Shamrock Series Highlights

The field and venue were pretty, but the performance of the Fighting Irish was sloppy at best last night.  Still, the Irish won and improved to 10-1 to give them their second 10 win season in the last four years with a 19-16 victory over Boston College.  Turnovers, dropped passes, and poor execution turned what could have been an Irish blowout into a too close for comfort squeaker.   Here are all the highlights from last night before we dive into any analysis today.

#4 Notre Dame 28, Wake Forest 7 Highlights

Senior Day 2015 was not as easy as it should have been for Notre Dame with the Fighting Irish wining 28-7 over 28 point underdog Wake Forest.  The Irish struggled to run the ball outside of a record setting 98 yarder from Josh Adams and couldn’t get the passing game going against the Wake Forest.  Still, the Irish won by 21 and improved to 9-1 on the season and 6-0 inside Notre Dame Stadium to for the second perfect home slate under Brian Kelly. We’ll have plenty more, but here are the highlights courtesy of WatchND.

#5 Notre Dame v. Pitt ’15: Highlights

Notre Dame traveled to Pittsburgh and took on a Panther team that has given them a lot of trouble in the past.  On this day, however, the outcome was never really in doubt.  Notre Dame beat the Panthers 42-30 in a game that wasn’t as close as the score indicates.  Here are all of the highlights courtesy of WatchND.
