The 2017 Notre Dame football Blue & Gold spring game will be April 22 at 12:30 PM ET according to an official release from the University on Wednesday.  The game will return to Notre Dame Stadium as Notre Dame finalizes work on the Campus Crossroads Project this off-season.

There will be a lot of interest in this year’s Blue & Gold game with a new starting quarterback, multiple new assistant coaches, and the temperature on Brian Kelly’s seat reaching new heights on the heels of last season’s 4-8 disaster.  Add in a new defensive scheme under first year defensive coordinator Mike Elko and there will be a lot to watch for – even if the game itself rarely gives much of a glimpse into the progress of the team.

UHND will have you covered throughout spring football with updates on position battles, recaps of Brian Kelly’s regular press conferences.  We’ve already been covering a few different story lines such as a look at 8 players who really need to crush spring ball to avoid getting lost in the mix and a review of some of the new faces to get ready to see more of.

We’ll have much, much more over the next few weeks along with hopefully some exciting changes to the site.  More details on the latter to follow soon.

Ticket Information

Tickets for the game can be bought online from the University with prices starting at $12 for adults and $8 for children 18 and under.  Children under three years old however will not need tickets for the general admission area.   Note, the University’s press release states that capacity for this year’s game will be capped at 25,000.

Parking will be free on a first come, first serve basis.

Television

No official announcements have been made regarding the broadcast of the game although in past years NBC Sports Network has carried the game.

The Shirt

As always, this year’s version of The Shirt will be unveiled on campus the day before – Friday, April 21 at 6:00 PM ET.

  1. Does anyone know if the money from the BLUE GOLD game still goes to ND CLUB of St. Joe Valley for local scholarships?
