Notre Dame Football 2019 Fall Camp Day 3 Highlights

As you can see and hear Notre Dame put on the pads today and the competition got a little more heated on Day 3 at Culver Academies.

Some highlights include:

  • Tight end Cole Kmet with a juke move on his route to get safety Alohi Gilman skating for a long gain.
  • WR Braden Lenzy catching a quick WR screen, making a good spin move to avoid the defender and is greeted by Shaun “Mongoose” Crawford in the hole.  Great to see Crawford back on the field.  Welcome back indeed.
  • Kmet catching a quick slant from Ian Book.

  • WR Chase Claypool making a ridiculous circus over-the-back catch vs CB Troy Pride.  I don’t know how Claypool managed to catch it but damn I hope to see a lot more of that in the fall from Chase.
  • RB Jafar Armstrong picking up strong blocks from left tackle Liam Eichenberg and left guard Tommy Kraemer and busting it back inside for a gain.

Just make the fundamental catches Chase Claypool and the team will be much stronger. Great players make the easy plays look easy. Far more important to be successful and those plays . The spectacular catches are a nice plus but the fundamental easy catches with NO DROPS are far more important to help the team win.
