Notre Dame’s Miles Boykin, Ian Book Get Titanic Theme Treatment

It is inevitable these days.  Whenever there is a dramatic sports play like Notre Dame’s thrilling game winning ridiculous touchdown catch by Miles Boykin yesterday, the play gets set to the theme from Titanic.  When its your team on the winning end, you can watch it on replay.  When you’re on the losing end, you could punch your monitor if you see it.  Luckily for us, Notre Dame was on the winning and this video is a lot of fun to watch.

This is going to be a play that Notre Dame fans talk about for a long time.  I don’t care if Ian Book never throws another touchdown for Notre Dame or if Miles Boykin catches another one.  They are going down in Notre Dame lore with one of the greatest game winners in program history.

There’s a long off-season to talk about all the work left to be done for Notre Dame heading into 2018.  For now though, let’s all enjoy yesterday’s theatrics a little while longer.

  1. This is my new favorite ND hype. The music is so over the top it is awesome. I’m going to watch it everyday to get my day started! Great job by whoever thought of it!!!

  2. Oh, and David Tyree’s helmet ball grab in the 2008 Superbowl. He didn’t have a long NFL career, but he’ll always be remembered for ‘the catch’. Boykin will probably be the same at ND for his catch and run.

  3. As a NY Giants fan, I can appreciate ‘titanic’ level catches like that. I can see Beckham making similar catches during his career.

  4. Maybe Boykin borrowed a scuba glove from LSU. And the gentlemanly pause to let the LSU defender slip past. All a classic masterpiece for the ages.
