It’s been four years since Notre Dame last beat Stanford.  At the time the Irish where dominating the series with the win in ’08 being Notre Dame’s 7th straight over the Cardinal.. it’s time to end their three game winning streak and start a new one in Notre Dame’s favor.

In order to get you sufficiently pumped up for this weekend’s game, we bring you the weekly Wake Up the Echoes post.

We’ll start off with some highlights from last week.

The last time Notre Dame beat Stanford, Jimmy Clausen was the quarterback, Charlie Weis was the head coach, and the Irish were 4-1 and talking about turning the corner in year 4 under Weis.

It wasn’t long ago though that Notre Dame dominated this rivalry… some highlights from 2006…

… and 2005

Oh by the way… this is still a catch.

… and this should have been a touchdown.

For Notre Dame fans feeling a little too confident this weekend, remember what happened 20 years ago when Stanford came to town during mid-terms.

Been listening to this a lot lately.

ESPN’s first trip to South Bend for College Gameday.

I can’t talk about ’93 Florida State without posting this.

And speaking of ’93… it’s time all of us Notre Dame fans felt like we did after this play again sometime very soon.
