Evander Holyfield Wanted Son to Go to Notre Dame

Evander Holyfield, the subject of one of the best 30 for 30 ESPN Films on Tuesday night, told ESPN that he wanted his son Elijah, a 4-star running back recruit, to go to Notre Dame instead of Georgia.  The video is below.

The younger Holyfield ran for 1,735 yards and 25 touchdowns as a junior for Woodward Academy in Atlanta and committed to the Bulldogs prior to his senior season.  Had he followed his father’s wishes Notre Dame could have had games next year with David Robinson, Torii Hunter, and Evander Holyfield roaming the sidelines.
