Three Future Domers in Under Armour All-American Game

Three Notre Dame commits were named to the rosters of the Under Armour All-American game to be held January 2 in Orlando.  Receiver Tai-ler Jones and DT Louis Nix III will represent the White Roster, while CB Toney Hurd Jr. will represent the Black Roster.

We’re looking forward to the matchup of Tai-ler Jones against Tony Hurd Jr., in what we hope is the first of many practice battles between the two.

Tai-ler Jones is the highest rated Irish recruit in next year’s class, rated #74 on the current ESPNU150.  Jones is a 6’ 0” receiver from Gainesville, Georgia.

Louis Nix III is the most recent Irish commit, switching his commitment to Notre Dame December 1, after the coaching change was announced.  Nix is a 6’ 3” defensive tackle from Jacksonville, Florida, rated #99 on the ESPNU150.

Toney Hurd Jr. is the CB from Missouri City, Texas, rated #120 in the ESPNU150.  Hurd committed to Notre Dame during the Irish’s trip to San Antonio this year for the Washington State game, yet he continues to explore other schools based on the coaching change.  Rivals.com recently reported that he hosted Texas A&M for an in-home visit December 2.

Among the players competing in the Under Armour All-American game who are uncommitted and still considering the Irish are Dietrich Riley (S), Cody Riggs (CB), Christian Jones (OLB), and James Stone (OT).
