Sophomore Season (2014) After flashing potential as a freshman in 2013, Will Fuller exploded on the scene in 2Stil014 as Notre Dame’s go to, #1 wide receiver. Starting all 13 games for the Irish, Fuller hauled in 76 passes for 1,094 yards while tying the Notre Dame single season record for receiving touchdowns in a season with 15. Fuller now shares that record with Jeff Samardzija, Rhema McKnight, and Golden Tate.
Fuller proved he could be both a weapon down the field as well as close to the line of scrimmage. He was able to get behind defenses with ease at times while also excelling at catching quick passes and turning them into big plays after the catch.
Fuller’s efforts in 2014 were enough to garner him some All-American honorable mentions and have him squarely in the conversation for pre-season All-American honors heading into the 2015 season..
Freshman Season (2013) – Fuller saw the field early in his Notre Dame career, but didn’t find the field too consistently as a true freshman. Still, his potential was on display against Air Force when the speedster pulled in the first touchdown of his career. On the season, however, Fuller caught just 6 passes for 160 yards.
Recruiting – Originally a commitment to Penn State, Will Fuller switched his commitment to Notre Dame in the spring prior to his senior season while he was still a relative unknown to the recruiting world. A strong senior season, however, earned Fuller a spot in the Semper-Fi All-American Bowl where he showed his potential. Still, Fuller was a relatively under the radar recruit throughout the process although he was able to earn a 4th star from some recruiting services during his senior campaign.
