Notre Dame Commit Brock Wright Receives High Praise from NFL Legend

Notre Dame tight end commitment Brock Wright has been putting in some WORK at the Under Armour All-American Bowl practices this week.  So much so that NFL legend Deion Sanders has taken notice.  Check out Primetime’s tweet below.

With tight end production falling off the map over the last few seasons for Notre Dame, Sanders’s tweet should be music to Notre Dame fans’ ears.  Combine that with the addition of fellow incoming frosh Cole Kemet, the return of Alize Jones, and the departure of tight ends Scott Booker and maybe, just maybe Notre Dame can get back to the Tight End U reputation they were building.

Neon Deion’s attention isn’t the only attention Wright is grabbing down in Orlando this week.  Wright has been tearing up practice all week and there is talk of him earning a 5th star in the final rankings for the class of 2017.  Wright would be the first 5-star recruit in the class of 2017 for Notre Dame if that happened although he might not be the last.  Fellow Irish commitment Robert Hainsey (OL) has been impressive in practice this week as well and could see a bump in rankings.

Notre Dame fans can get a sneak peak at Wright this afternoon at 1:00 on ESPN.  Whose bright idea was it to broadcast this game in direct competition with NFL week 17 games though?  I mean, seriously?   We won’t have to wait long to see Wright in a gold helmet as well.  Wright signed his grant in aid papers with Notre Dame last month and will officially enroll at Notre Dame this month.

In addition to Wright and Hainsey; linebacker David Adams, cornerback Pauslon Adebo, and quarterback Avery Davis will be playing this afternoon as well.
