Notre Dame Football: Brian Kelly Breaks Down Book’s Scramble Drill TD to Skowronek

One of the more impressive plays from Ian Book on Saturday against Boston College was his second quarter touchdown pass to Bennett Skowronek on a broken play. The original design called for a pass to either tight end Michael Mayer or running back Kyren Williams, but both were covered. Book bought time in the pocket though and hit Bennett Skowronek for his second of three touchdowns on the afternoon.

  1. Notredames offense has been improving week by week. Receivers coming on and the last 2 games imo is the best 2 games Book s had at Notredame. Can Notredame win out and beat Clemson again with Lawrence and then possibly beat Alabama and/ or Ohio State in the playoff.? Will be extremely difficult but I believe they have a 50/ 50 shot if Book can keep playing at this very high level. I think Notredame needs Bradon Lenzy to be 100% healthy and playing the way he did the last 5 games last year. You can do a lot with him deep shots screens jet and fly sweeps slants. Get him in space. If Notredame can get that out of him now your talking about an offense that can score like Clemson, Alabama, Ohio State, Florida. These are the teams you are most likely to see in the Acc and college playoffs.
