The addition of Wake Forest transfer Sam Hartman at quarterback gives the Fighting Irish the chance for the kind of explosive, big-play offense they have longed to have for years. Notre Dame also has the challenge of working in a new offensive coordinator after Tommy Rees left the program earlier this year for the same role at Alabama. How Gerad Parker performs as a playcaller will determine how good this offense can be just as much, if not more, than the addition of Hartman who is the first elite quarterback the Irish have had in years.
