Our 2015 Notre Dame Holiday Guide steamrolls ahead today with a classic Christmas present – the polo shirt.  Polo shirts make great holiday gifts because they are pretty versatile shirts – you can wear them to the game, while running errands, or even to the office depending on the office dress code.  They particularly make a great present for dads who might not be as keen on some of the flashier t-shirt designs that are prevalent today as they get a bit older.

Notre Dame Polo Shirts
I am personally a big fan of green everything Notre Dame related – hats, t-shirts, hoodies, etc so this polo called out to me as I was researching gift ideas for this post. Â This is also one of the polos that the coaches have won on the sidelines this year which is always an intriguing gift aspect for a die hard Notre Dame fan. Â If you don’t fancy the green version shown here, Fanatics also offers this same polo in blue, white, and gold so there is a color for all preferences. Â This polo is also currently on sale, which is somewhat of a rarity for Under Armour products – especially this time of the year.
Speaking of a good deal on an Under Armour Notre Dame polo shirt, the Shamrock Series polos from this year are marked down to just under $60 – that’s $15 off retail price. Â The Shamrock Series game itself might not have been a great game, but the historic setting at Fenway was more than memorable and this polo has a really cool look to it as well. Â This one comes in multiple colors as well with a blue and grey version. Â If you like the green one though, act quick as sizes are starting to become limited.
In sticking with the theme here of showcasing good deals in the polo shirt category, this plain, classic blue comes in at $40 which is about as cheap as you will find an officially licensed Notre Dame polo. Â This one is not flashy, but if you are searching for someone who has a simple, classic style, then this polo shirt might be perfect for them. Â All it features is the iconic interlocking “ND” on a solid navy shirt. Â Simple and to the point.
Adidas may no longer be the official outfitter of Notre Dame athletics, but there are still some solid adidas Notre Dame apparel pieces left out there. Â This polo specifically stood out to me because of the gold color and green/gold shamrock located above the heart. Â The green collar and subtle stripes on the neck give the shirt a pretty cool look without going over the top with design elements. Â At $43.99 right now, this polo is a great deal as well. Â Great price + unique look = one heck of a present for any Notre Dame fan.
I mentioned above that the 2015 Shamrock Series polos came in multiple colors and I liked the gray version so much, that I decided to include this one as well. Â You don’t see too many gray/green Notre Dame polo shirt combinations so this is a pretty unique option and the gray color makes it a very versatile article of clothing for your gift recipient’s wardrobe. Â Like the green version, this one is on sale for just under $60 as well.
Looking for a more classic Notre Dame polo? Â This white Under Armour polo was the nicest white Notre Dame polo I could find for this guide. Â Like the classic blue one above, this one is pretty simple in it’s design and comes in at a great price right now. Â A white polo, while potentially serving as an open canvas at lunch time for someone like myself, is a great option for a casual Friday at work because it’s pretty subtle as opposed to some of the louder green versions.
Like the white one above but shopping for someone who might be a bit messy or clumsy? Â The navy version offers the same price, same simplicity, and same great look with a dark base that is sure to hide almost anything that might end up on it throughout the day at the office.
