It wasn’t the prettiest win of the season for Notre Dame, but the Irish went on the road again and beat a Power 5 opponent by more than 20 points with their backup quarterback. That’s not too bad of an afternoon all things considered. The Irish improved to 5-1 on the season with the victory surpassing their win total from all of 2016 in the process. Ian Book had a solid starting debut in the place of the injured Brandon Wimbush and the Irish played most of the game with Josh Adams nursing his cranky ankle. Defensively the Irish continued to force turnovers and keep the opponents points down.
All in in, not a bad Saturday of football for the Irish. Oh yeah, and after the game Michigan lost at home to Michigan State. Yes, the same Michigan State team that Notre Dame beat by 20 on the road just a few weeks ago. Enjoy the highlights for now as we dive into this one.

Congratulations Frankie on your 6-0 predicting. Four highlights I liked if we are to compete with the Trojans;Alize Mack catching and running, blocking, Jerry Tillery all business on every play, Chris Finke’s punt returns, Justin Yoons consistency kicking.
