Notre Dame Football Highlights: Irish Pull Away at Lambeau in 41-13 Win

After a sluggish first half in their season opener, Notre Dame came to life in the second half in a 41-13 beating of Wisconsin. The Irish outscored the Badgers 28-3 after halftime, and stayed perfect in Shamrock Series games at 13-0. A DJ McKinney’s 55-yard pick-six and Aneyas Williams taking over as the finisher with two second-half touchdown runs turned a tight contest into a blowout.

James Flanigan scored on a throw to the flat in his home state, CJ Carr hit Nolan James Jr. on a wheel route and later on a sideline touchdown, and new kicker Spencer Porath connected from 52 yards early before adding a shorter field goal. The Notre Dame defense held Wisconsin to 1.4 yards per rush over the final 30 minutes.

• Flanigan’s touchdown came in Green Bay, a nice hometown note for the Notre Dame Academy product.
• Carr connected with Faison on a deep gain into Wisconsin territory before the offense found another gear after halftime.
