Kickoff Times for ’08 Home Games Announced

The kickoff times for the 2008 home games have been released and are as follows.

  • Sept. 6 San Diego State – 3:30 p.m. EDT
  • Sept. 13 Michigan – 3:30 p.m. EDT
  • Sept. 27 Purdue – 3:30 p.m. EDT
  • Oct. 4 Stanford – 2:30 p.m. EDT
  • Nov. 1 Pittsburgh – 2:30 p.m. EDT
  • Nov. 22 Syracuse – 2:30 p.m. EST

After looking at that tilt of games, one has to think that the Michigan game should be one of the one most sought after tickets not just this year, but ever. None of next year’s home games look to come against teams that will definitely be ranked at the time outside of the Wolverines. Pitt could come into town ranked on November 1, but you never know what you are going to get from a Wannstedt coached team.

A year after winning just 1 game in Notre Dame Stadium, it looks like the Irish should be able to go 5-1 at home if they can return to 2005-06 form.

  1. I will be surely watching All games and this time I am going to be a better Fan!

    Kick some butt Irish!

Weis isnt to blame by the way for the bad season! It was just one of those thing why we were bad!

  2. That is Different that we are playing Syracuse this coming season did we play them last season? I am a Fighting Irish fan through and through, and I am very much hoping that we have a way better season then last and I hope we make it to a Bowl Game also! I am looking forward also to the ND vs Michigan Game!

    Go Irish!

  3. After reading the link it makes even more angry/disappointed. Its a bunch of guys complaining about the drive up to SBI. NBC would get AMAZING ratings with a late game “prime time” anyone. Seriously, every home game I get yelled at multiple times during the year for standing “too much”. Its a bunch of crap. I am young I like to stand and scream and root my team on. I want ND to be a “scary, intimidating” place to play, but no we must sit down or the ushers will kick us out? I dont get it. Its a FOOTBALL game. I am not grumpy and sit there for the entire game and just “bitch” about how bad they are.
    Story 06 season-
During the UCLA when ND was losing these 2 guys sitting one row back and to the left of me were complaining so much about how ND was not a top 10 team and Charlie couldnt call plays. ND was 7-1 I think. They yelled at me and some of the guys in front of us for standing during the game and just seem like old, depressed, and angry men sitting at a bar talking. Then Shark caught that pass from BQ to win the game and those guys transformed into “super fans”. They were trying to highfive people but I swear to you atleast 3 people there just shook their heads at them including myself. Thats your typical ND fan right there. I love ND and root no matter what and I will continue to stand and get yelled at! Amen

  4. Does Kevin White understand that “Drinking & Tailgating” starts at well when I was a student the night before the game, but now since graduating about 7am in the mourning the day of the game. ND is a “wet” campus…sorta and a night game wouldnt change much of anything that I could see. I have thought about this a lot and the only thing I can come up with is that some people dont come out for the “early kickoff times” for tailgating. Less people less drinking? A night game everyone is usually up and ready to go. I go into every game and ND already has banned Tailgating on campus during the game. I dont see much more for their reasoning. It just stinks! I want a night game. Thanks for the link Goirish93

  5. Why dont we ever have a night game? I have been asking that question for 4 years now and the only answer I get is about the NBC contract but that shouldnt matter just as long as its on NBC. I would love a home game in September. I realize in Oct and Nov it gets cold but it could happen in September.
