Still No Official Word on Bryant Young
So far there is still no official word on Bryant Young joining the Notre Dame staff as a graduate assistant. Last week it was reported that both Young and Tim Grunhard could be joining Charlie Weis’s staff for 2009 in graduate assistant roles.
The University, however, has made any official statements since the news broke last week. Grunhard was quoted yesterday saying that decided not to come back to Notre Dame at this time, but so far there hasn’t been any quotes from Young on the matter.
Having a Notre Dame and NFL legend defensive lineman for on campus recruiting would be beyond huge for Notre Dame – especially since Notre Dame’s lack of success recruiting the position returned this year after last season’s DL haul. Young could also help install a bit more attitude amongst the defensive linemen with his intensity.

i have a question that doesn’t pertain to recruiting but maybe someone will be able to help me. i recently purchased a “supposed” game worn green #3 jersey. i am trying to find out what year this jersey was used. it is made by adidas, ND logo on each sleeve. the logos and numbers are embroidered. its not a replica, that i know. above the #3 on the front it has the word irish embroidered with a square white outline around it. any help would greatly appreciated. thank you.
