There weren’t a ton of highlights from Notre Dame’s 12-7 victory over Louisville on Saturday, but the Irish did hold on for victory to improve to 4-0 on the season (3-0 in conference play). Kyren Williams ran for over 100 yards for the third time this season. Ian Book used his legs on a day when his arm wasn’t moving the football. And the Irish defense held Louisville to just over 200 yards of offense on the day.

That maybe true Ron. I guess it all depends on what your expectations are for Notredame. If you see a good top 10 team and your okay with that then yesterday was a good win. If you want Notredame to be as good as Clemson, Alabama and Ohio State you view yesterday’s game totally different. The formula to win national championships in 2020 college football is to be good on defense and special teams and be unstoppable on offense like Clemson, Alabama, Ohio State, LSU last year. Kelly in his 11 years at Notredame has failed to put out a great offense and recruit and develop a Heisman trophy level qb. Imo Charlie Weis recruited better offensive talent than Kelly and he certainly developed and recruited great qbs ,Jimmy Clausen and Brady Quinn were far better than any qb Kelly has had.
