Notre Dame Football Highlights: Irish Roll Past Purdue in West Lafayette to Reach 4-0

Notre Dame beat Purdue again in West Lafayette, moving to 4-0 on the season and extending its winning streak in the series to 11 straight. CJ Carr hit Micah Gilber, Nolan James, and Cooper Flanagan for touchdowns on the day while rushing one in as well, Aneyas Williams recorded Note Dame’s first 20+ yard rush of the season, and the defense scored its third touchdown of the season as the Irish rolled 49-10.

The run game showed some signs of life with Williams leading the way a week after taking a backseat to Nolan James last week. The defense created points of its own: Bryce Young knocked the ball loose off the edge, and two-time captain Drayk Bowen scooped it up and scored. Jordan Faison added the play of the day, a one-handed sideline grab off a Carr throw that the broadcast called the best catch of the weekend.

• Carr also connected with Jaden Greathouse between the hashes against a blitz while back Noah Grubbs hit Jerome Bettis Jr. down the middle from inside his own five.
• Grubbs threw a touchdown pass to Matt Jeffery on third-and-goal late to close out the scoring.
• Final tally: 11 consecutive wins over Purdue and a 4-0 start.
