Greg Flammang and Jamie Uyeyama came down on the buy side for two of the bigger preseason Notre Dame props: CJ Carr as a Heisman finalist and Aneyas Williams averaging better than 6.0 yards per carry. Their logic on Carr was simple: if Notre Dame goes 12-0, he is probably putting up the kind of season that gets him to New York. On Williams, both pointed to the recent standard at running back under Marcus Freeman and to Williams’ own numbers, including a career 7.6 yards per carry in limited work.
The show also hit several other roster and team-wide props, with both buying stronger receiver production and a better pass-efficiency defense, while selling on an individual double-digit sack season.
- Both said Notre Dame should have two wide receivers top 522 yards, the average leading WR total in the Freeman era.
- Uyeyama sold a double-digit sack season for one player, but said Notre Dame could still break its team sack record because the production may be spread around.
- They bought Notre Dame topping 20 interceptions again, with Luke Talich and Brauntae Johnson mentioned as likely playmakers.
- On Spencer Porath, Uyeyama bought him beating Justin Yoon’s 81 percent field goal mark; Flammang sold and put him just under it.
