Notre Dame limps into week four sporting an unsightly 1-2 record for the third time in seven years under Brian Kelly. The Irish will look to get back to .500 and turn their season around by hosting a Duke Blue Devils team featuring the same record. Even with another disappointing loss in September, no changes to the official depth chart were made this week.
While there were no “official changes” made, here are a couple things to keep an eye on.
- Watch out at WDE where Daelin Hayes played more against Michigan State than he had in the past and not only held his own but started to make his presence felt. An opponent like Duke is a great time to get him even more reps.
- At RB, Tarean Folston and Josh Adams are still the co-starters but Adams out-carried Folston 12-4.
- Chase Claypool’s name is not on the official depth chart but he played quite a bit against Michigan State and flashed some downfield potential. He’s a player that isn’t listed below that still figures to play a lot this weekend.

Bruce, My brother ( a subway alum) wanted to incite the crowd at a pep rally in SoCal a few years ago. He was turned down” We have a lot more going on here than football”

Why in the name of God are they still here?
This isn’t Nitre Dame football
It’s a parody
You have the fastest player on the team (Corey Holmes 4.3) and no long balls all season only 10 yard outs???? You throw a hail Mary to Claypool when you have Tori Hunter 4.4 run a stop and Corey Holmes 4.3 on the bench??? Poor Coaching decisions!!! They need to get it right!!!! Go Irish!!!
D Hayes has produced more in one game than Trumbetti has in his entire career. Unfortunately Trumbetti’s understanding of BVG’s “exotic blitz” schemes that never result in defenders actually getting to the QB trumps skill and talent.
Javon”Von” McKinney should get to show what He can do for the Irish this weekend!
D Hayes should be starting now, period!!!! get him better ASAP so he is ready for Stanford. Also, haven’t heard much, but Luke Cole was awful against MSU from his lack of intercepting from a true frosh to his end of game bone headed missed coverage (although we shouldn’t have punted to MSU anyway, but I digress). I’d consider letting frosh Love get a lot of reps. Start building for the future with the underclassmen as I have no patience for the upper classmen (not all) who lack the fundamentals.
