T’eo Down to Three

Manti T’eo, easily the #1 recruit on Notre Dame’s board at this point, has trimmed his list down to three schools and the Irish have made the cut.  T’eo, one of the top linebackers in the country, will no choose between Notre Dame, USC, and UCLA according to the Salt Lake Tribune.

Te’o’s father, Brian, told The Salt Lake Tribune that the final three contenders for his sons services are Notre Dame, USC and UCLA. Manti Te’o will make his official campus visit to USC next weekend, and will decide a day or two after returning home, Brian Te’o said.

I’m surprised UCLA made the cut instead of BYU.  UCLA has been somewhat of a late comer in this race and BYU was one of T’eo’s favorites from the start.  The good news is that Notre Dame has made the cut.  Getting T’eo would be huge for this recruiting class as well as next year’s.  Signing a 5-star linebacker over USC at Signing Day would send a very good message to next year’s recruits.

Let’s hope his visit to USC next weekend doesn’t go so well and that Te’o ends up signing with the Irish.

Manti is very spiritual. I saw the new report about him wanting to do his mission. Dont you think ND would be the place for him?

Good luck with Te’o signing wit da Irish although I am a fan, think about it Manti has yet to take his recruiting trip to USC and you know they will do everything in their power to make sure he signs. Pete Carrol has already promised him number 55 which is supposed to be a big deal because thet number has to be given to you and it can’t be chosen by any player and USC usually gets da all world linebacker recruits. Personally I hope he signs wit da Irish just to change up the trend of the All-American linebackers that come from USC.

SD Rob…If he wants to play at the next level he better start to learn to play in the cold. Come on Te’o, you know what the right choice is.

What worries me about Te’o is.. when he came out for his visit against Syracuse.. we was so cold he went to the press box to watch the game.. and we loss that game… so i think he is usc bound.. unfortunately.

with byu out the pick i like oyur chances of landing him. hopefully byron moore and michael buchanan can be lured to sign with ND as well. we really need another dline prospect. i still like our class. something about zeke motta, calabrese, stockton and shaq evans, make me think they can be really special. when is signing day anyways?

    frankie,

whats the feeling on this kid. Obviously we are in the running since he’s narrowed it down to us and 2 other schools. I was on rivals and it had byu, usc, then us at the top of his list last week. any idea on where he is leaning pre-visit though?
