Equanimeous St Brown to Notre Dame!

Notre Dame got its second piece of good news on Signing Day 2015 with the addition of 4-star wide receiver Eqaunimeous St Brown.  The California native selected Notre Dame over UCLA, USC, and Stanford giving Notre Dame two additions to their class of 2015 already joining running back Dexter Williams.

Brown displayed just how much of a fit he is for Notre Dame by making statements in German and French prior to announcing his intentions to continue his academic and athletic career at the University of Notre Dame.

St Brown has long been rumored to be heavily favoring Notre Dame and on Wednesday he ended the suspense by selecting the Irish and becoming the fourth wide receiver in this year’s class along with Jalen Guyton, CJ Sanders, and Miles Boykin.

As an Under Armour All-American and consensus 4-star prospect, St. Brown is the most heralded wide receiver in the quartet that Notre Dame added to its roster today and for good reason.  At 6’5″, 205 lbs with 4.5 speed, Brown possess all of measureables that you look for in an elite wide receiver.  He’s not a “burner” who will take a quick screen to the house by out running a defense like a Will Fuller, but he has great deep speed like Davaris Daniels and Michael Floyd had for Notre Dame in recent years.

St. Brown will need to add some mass before he is ready to be an every down wide receiver, but he still has the kind of talent that could allow him to see the field early in his career.  Passes might be tough to come by as a freshman with the depth Notre Dame has at the position, but he shouldn’t have to wait too long to see the field since he has the ability to be a deep threat at 6’5″ – something Notre Dame does not have in the wide receivers currently on the roster.

St. Brown was joined on his Servite High School team by his brother Osiris a sophomore wide receiver already receiving attention from college coaches – including Brian Kelly.

Notre Dame did about as good of a job as anyone could have hoped for recruiting the wide receiver position this year.  In St. Brown and Miles Boykin the Irish have a couple of massive outside wide receivers, Jalen Guyton gives them a potential dynamic receiver out of the slot, and CJ Sanders brings homerun ability with him with the best top end speed of the bunch.

Earlier today Notre Dame also added 4-star running back Dexter Williams to their 2015 recruiting haul giving them one of the best collections of offensive talent we’ve seen in a single class in a while.  Williams and Adams give the Irish a dynamite pair of backs, the four wide receivers mentioned above are as good of a group as anyone signed today, and quarterback Brandon Wimbush brings it all together with an elite quarterback tailor-made for the Irish offense.
