Notre Dame Fall Camp 2013 – Day 4 Videos

Notre Dame wrapped up the Shiloh Park version of 2013 fall camp on Thursday with a spirited practice that featured, of all things, a Tommy Rees touchdown scamper. Afterwards Brian Kelly talked about Notre Dame getting better the last four days.

Day 4 Practice Highlights

  • Good to see Amir Carlisle running around and looking quick on his feet.
  • Troy Niklas made a great catch in the endzone.  Throw wasn’t the greatest, but has Rees in the past that he will put the ball in the vicinity of his tight ends and let them go get it.  Niklas looks like he might be up for the task.  Looked like it was CHris Badger on the coverage but it was tough to tell.  If it was, his coverage was pretty good – just a good play by Niklas.
  • Nice zip on the touchdown pass from Rees to Jones.  Rees has shown he can have zip on short throws in the past.  Still haven’t seen if his deep pass has improved.
  • Jalen Brown had a pick on a deflection where Malik Zaire threw into coverage.
  • Nice catch in the corner of the end zone by TJ Jones on a good pass from Zaire.

  1. If you think they are playing fast now wait untill they get the new white uniforms on! Definately looks very productive with all the returning starters leading by example. The BK practice system has indeed come to fruition! I’m definately impressed with our experience and depth. 11-1 for the season is certainly not out of the question along with a rematch Championship appearence with Bama! I see 12-1 plus a title.

  2. For the last several months my computers periodically crash when I’m on this site. It’s happened more than a few times and on different computers. Has anyone else experienced this of late?

    1. It’s that damn NSA again!

      Here’s a helpfull tip….

There is a little known oversea’s subversive that the NSA is keeping an eye on that goes by the name of Ali Bin WaaRees.

So any time you happen to mention “Rees” you get immediately flagged for a remote digital data strip search and KY Jhelli Drive SLIC probe.

So you may want to be careful when referring to TR.

But you didn’t hear that from me!

      1. Just be glad we don’t play Harvard and their NSA doctrine of Rudolf Diels. But you did’nt hear that from me either.

  3. I have this vision of a 6’6″, 270lb behemoth, catching a pass while running a straight line seam route, at full speed.

If ever an opposing secondary player was to have a re-occurring nightmare, this would be it!

It’s called trying to tackle Troy Niklas one on one, who is running full speed, in the open field, in front a packed stadium!

This deep seam route is a play that ND ran quite a bit with Tyler Eifert last year.
Although, Eifert checked in at a mere 250lbs!
