Notre Dame football held its fifth practice of the 2021 spring season today. Today’s clip features a lot of both Jack Coan and Drew Pyne in the quarterback race. Avery Davis makes an acrobatic catch while Jordan Johnson and Lorenzo Styles both have some nice catch and runs.

Very hard to make accurate judgement from practice let alone 3 minute clips. I do think whoever starts at qb will be really good and better than Book for a couple of reasons. One the receivers will have more speed more explosive playmaking ability. Also I think Pyne and Cone will throw the deep ball better and take more chances on the 50 to 50. I also think Tommy and Kelly are going to be more uptempo and more aggressive with their playcalling, game plans, philosophy schemes. Kelly’s no dummies. He knows the offense has to change and score a lot more in order to beat Alabama,Clemson,Ohio State,Oklahoma, etc.
