Francis Brewu won Tire Rack’s track challenge over CJ Carr and Adon Shuler, posting the fastest lap of the day at 31.09 seconds after coaching. Tire Rack also tagged Brewu as the “most coachable” driver after he made the biggest jump from his opening run, and he leaned into it afterward: “I appreciate y’all trying. But I had to do what I had to do.”
Carr finished second and had the best pre-coaching time at 34.73, but his final lap settled at 34.54 after, as the host put it, he “had a good thing going” before blowing the last lap. Shuler never really threatened the top time, going from 46.53 before coaching to 47.76 after, while Carr joked he was at least “glad I beat Adon” even as he admitted disappointment that Brewu took home the win.
- Brewu’s final time, 31.09, was the fastest lap of the day and the biggest improvement.
- Carr opened as the early leader before coaching at 34.73, then improved slightly to 34.54.
- Shuler’s times went the wrong direction, from 46.53 before coaching to 47.76 after.
- Brewu called the day “one of the most fun days I’ve had in so long” and said he wanted to come back and drive again.
- Carr said he is “not a big car guy,” credited coach TJ for helping him, and still made sure to note he finished ahead of Shuler.
