Notre Dame Football Finally Has a Kickoff Time for Purdue, But is Streaming Only
Notre Dame’s September 26 trip to Purdue will kick off at 2:00 p.m. ET at Ross-Ade Stadium and stream exclusively on Peacock. The Big Ten announced the start time and the broadcast plan Monday afternoon.
Purdue is the host, so the Big Ten and its television partners controlled the scheduling on this one rather than NBC’s Notre Dame package.
There is no traditional television window attached to it. The game is streaming only, which means a Peacock subscription is the only way to watch. Notre Dame’s home schedule avoided a Peacock exclusive for the first time since 2021, but the road schedule did not. Wisconsin at Penn State is the other Peacock exclusive that afternoon, kicking at 5:00 p.m. ET.
The 2:00 p.m. start is the second-earliest kickoff on the Irish schedule this season, behind the noon start against Navy in Foxborough on October 31.
The timing lands harder on Purdue. The Boilermakers open Big Ten play this Saturday at UCLA with an 11:00 p.m. ET kickoff on Big Ten Network, then come back across two time zones for an early-afternoon start against a Notre Dame team that has won ten straight in the series and has kept the Shillelagh Trophy in South Bend for 19 years.
Notre Dame is 2-0 following a 41-13 win over Wisconsin at Lambeau Field and a 52-0 shutout of Rice. The Irish host Michigan State at 7:30 p.m. Saturday before the trip to West Lafayette.
Three games on the schedule still have no kickoff time: at North Carolina on October 3, at BYU on October 17, and at Syracuse on November 28.
